Gerrie Hadley Robbins passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 81, after a life rooted in faith, love, and service. She was born on May 3, 1944, in Ogden, Utah, to Dean and Ruby Hadley.

Gerrie was raised in Hooper, Utah, where she formed a close bond with her Mom and siblings, who were also her dearest friends. As a young girl, she spent time helping her grandparents on the family farm, where she learned the value of hard work and dedication. She attended Weber High School, where she formed lifelong friendships that she continued to cherish throughout her life.

Following high school, Gerrie attended Weber State College and earned her cosmetology license. She later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States Mission. During her mission, she became friends with Elder Ron Robbins, who would become her eternal companion. Gerrie and Ron were married on September 6, 1967, in the Salt Lake Temple, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 58 years.

Ron was the love of Gerrie’s life and her greatest priority. Their marriage was a beautiful example of love, loyalty, and shared service. They stood side by side through life’s joys and trials, and in her later years, Ron cared for Gerrie with tender devotion, patience, and unwavering love. Together, they raised four children: Michelle, Jeff, Jason, and Brian.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gerrie served faithfully in many callings. She found great joy in ministering to others and demonstrated her love for the Savior through years of service in the Relief Society, Young Women’s, and Primary organizations, as well as through her service in the Bountiful Temple. One of the highlights of her later years was serving a mission alongside Ron in the Washington, D.C. Temple, where they treasured the opportunity to serve together.

Gerrie had a special gift for making others feel cared for. As a cosmetologist, she especially loved doing hair for elderly individuals in convalescent centers, where she not only helped them look beautiful but also brightened their days with kindness and compassion.

She was also a gifted gardener who took great pride in creating a beautiful yard. Gerrie loved being a homemaker, preparing home-cooked meals and desserts, decorating her home, and making holidays memorable for her family. She especially looked forward to trying new recipes, hosting her annual Easter egg hunt, and planning her beloved Halloween party.

In their retirement years, Gerrie and Ron enjoyed traveling with friends, creating lasting memories as they explored new places together. They also shared a love for the arts and spent many hours attending performances at CenterPoint Theatre, Hale Centre Theatre, the Utah Symphony, and Tuacahn.

Those who knew Gerrie will remember her strong work ethic, her deep love for her husband and family, and her enduring friendships. Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Gerrie is now reunited with her beloved mother, Ruby, her brother Kirt, and many extended family members. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; her children, Michelle (Kirk) Miller, Jeff (Dawnell), Jason (Angie), and Brian (Julie); 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and 4 siblings Dan Hadley, Dale (Sherrie) Hadley, Kelly (Gwen) Hadley, and Pam (Chuck) Rockwell.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Gerrie’s friends and neighbors of 49 years in Centerville, where she and Ron raised their family. They are also deeply grateful to the staff and residents of Covington Senior Living in Farmington, Utah, where Gerrie spent her final eight months and quickly grew to love those who cared for her. Special thanks to Dr. Russell Maxwell at the Salt Lake Clinic, as well as Atlas Homecare and Hospice, for their compassionate care.
