The following poem was provided by Dixie (Weaver) Batson , Janene's sister
Raised in the town of Hooper
But she never grew up
Caught nite-crawlers and sold them
Chased mosquito abatement trucks...
She ate baking soda and green apples
And gobbled fresh peas galore
Gathered from the pea vinery
She always wanted more...
She had a great sense of humor
She loved to laugh and tease
She sang many years with 3 sisters
'Til she said, "no more please"...
She loved to camp in the mountains
And loved to be with friends
If a shoulder was needed to cry on
On her you could depend...
She married Leon Stone and had Stacy Ann
Divorced and married Satch
She had a son Shawn Boehme
Those are the children she hatched...
She lived in various places
Washington and Germany
California, Virginia
A visit to the Keys...
She traveled all over the USA
In a semi truck
She went as a packer and loved it
Cuz' she could see new stuff...
She fought cancer for many years
Twenty-three to be exact
When she could not be as active
She found ways to deal with that...
Beautiful cross-stitched pictures
Cross word puzzles were fun
Watching old TV shows
Birds, flowers and sun...
She left earth life in October
"1999"
She shines like a rainbow through sunlight
Leaving albums of memories behind...
