ROY, Utah -

 

Sharan Florence Cox King, 63, passed away at her home Saturday, May 10, 2008 after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born May 24, 1944 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Kenneth Ashton and Florence Jemima Taylor Cox. 

Sharan married Roger Clarence King on December 2, 1961 in Ogden, Utah. 

 


She attended Weber High School and has lived in Utah, California, and Nevada. 

Sharan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Primary Teacher. 

She enjoyed ceramics, painting, crocheting, reading Stephen King Books, knitting, gardening, camping, playing the guitar, singing, sewing, baking, canning, and being with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Sharan was survived by her husband Roger of Roy, UT; daughters: Pamela (Dan) Keller of Preston, ID; Tamara (Steve) Gaumer of Preston, ID; Debra Coburn of Ogden, UT; Sandra King of Roy, UT; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her parents Kenneth and Florence Cox of North Ogden, UT. Brother, Kenneth Alan (Pam) Cox of Farr West, UT; sister, Colleen E. Nash, Chandler, TX.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and one brother Kurt Cox. 

A special thanks to Dr. Darin Checketts, Dr. Carl Gray and their staff. Tanner Clinic, McKay Dee, Ogden Regional, Davis Hospitals and Hospice. 

Interment was in Roy City Cemetery.

Karen Flinders (Batchelor)

 

Sharan was born May 24, 1944.  She married Roger King of Hooper  December 2, 1961.  They loved camping and fishing. Roger and Sharon had four children, Pam, Tamara, Debora, and Sandra. 15 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Sharon passed away May 10 2008.
